Last chance for 25% bonus on ‘hotel to Avios’ conversions

January 13th, three days away, is the last day to get a 25% bonus when you convert your hotel points to Avios.

My original article and my thoughts on the deal are here.

This is the ba.com page for the deal.

The obvious question is whether you have to transfer out of the hotel programme by the 13th, or they need to be received by BA by the 13th.  I am assuming it is the former, as different schemes have different timeframes for sending points across.

If for some reason you transferred before the 13th but did not get the bonus automatically, I am sure BA would add it manually.   Keep a screenshot of the rules which do not specify which date is the important one.

Hotel offers update – December 2021:

You were right about the date of initiating the transfer counting. My SPG transfer just showed up on my BAEC account and it says transaction date 10-Jan (when I initiated the transfer) and posted date 15-Jan. I received the 25% bonus.

My points have just gone onto my baec – I grated 10k hhonors points and got 2,250 avios in return
