Get a chunky 50% bonus on Priority Club points purchases

Links on Head for Points may pay us an affiliate commission. A list of partners is here.

Priority Club, the Holiday Inn / Crowne Plaza / InterContinental loyalty programme, has launched a 50% bonus on points purchases.  This is only valid until 22nd November.

Click here for full details (click on the IHG logo).

Remember that purchased Priority Club points will count for status.  If you think that you will not be able to retain Platinum status for next year before 31st December, this is a decent chance to buy the points you need to get you up to 60,000 for the year.

IHG Rewards update – December 2021:

Get bonus points: You can earn up to triple IHG Rewards base points with IHG’s new Autumn promotion. It runs from 1st October to 31st December. You can register here and our full article on the offer is here.

New to IHG Rewards?  Read our overview of IHG Rewards here and our article on points expiry rules here. Our article on ‘What are IHG Rewards points worth?’ is here.

Have been looking at this one but not sure the points are good redemption value even at this discounted rate. It might be better to take out the Black PC Visa card because that gets you status and a free night for £10 spend. As ever, YMMV.

    • Raffles says:

Only worth doing to top up an account or to maintain / get status for 2013, to be honest.

  • PGW says:

    Should be £10k spend!,

  • marqoos_pl says:

Thanks! That was exactly what I needed, but somehow missed on the newsletter or on the PC website.

  • pcgold says:

If I were to buy 20k points, would that automatically get me Gold? (not that is it worth much of course)

    • Raffles says:

Yes. Although you can buy Gold status outright for $50 anyway. https://priorityclub.points.com/goldstatus/index.jsp Or get the Priority Club credit card, which gives you free Gold. The paid card (£99 fee) gets you free PLATINUM plus 40,000 points – see the Credit Cards Update page (link in the black bar at the top of the page) for details.

Only a good deal if you need status. Cash + Points for redemptions is the cheaper way to buy points at $70 per 10k
