Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

150 Clubcard points (360 Avios) for £5 with DVD and CD pre-orders

Tesco Direct has launched another pre-order promotion on up-coming CD’s and DVD’s.

Take a look here.

You get 150 bonus points (360 Avios, 375 Virgin miles) for every product you order. The cheapest product is a Bon Jovi CD, coming in at £5. Assuming you do ‘click and collect’ to avoid postage charges, this works out at 1.38p per Avios less whatever you can resell the CD for!

£5 is the same price that Amazon is charging, so you should be able to recoup a couple of £ via eBay.

Tesco has recently taken its Tesco Entertainment division back in-house, so hopefully the historic problems with the posting of bonus points from Entertainment (ie they never did post!) will be a thing of the past. The points for this promotion do show in your basket at check-out.

You may also be able to combine this promotion with code TD-KNTW for £5 off a £35 Tesco Entertainment order. This code expires on 11th November.

entertainment orders are still POSTAGE FREE!!!!

  • FlyForFun says:

Christmas 2009 I bought 50 CDs/DVDs and got 500 tesco pts per item. The points all posted and as it was my first Tesco to BA move during a promo (that I wasn’t even aware of), I ended up with 126,000 BA miles for around £500, plus the CD/DVDs which meant xmas presents were sorted that year!

Not sure I’d do it again for only 150pts per item this time! 😀

  • Jenni says:

Last day of double Avios through avios.com as well, hope the Tesco Direct is back up soon I would definitely use this offer and get the double Avios at the same time!

  • Tim says:

The site is back up sans offer. The link above is now broken. Shame.

I don’t believe it! That is TWICE now that I have done a post on Tesco Entertainment and they have pulled the deal overnight inbetween me writing the post and the post appearing!
