Quick credit cards update

Two quick things of note.
The current (pretty rubbish) offer for the Lloyds TSB Duo Avios cards expired on the 18th. It has been replaced with … exactly the same offer! It now runs until 3rd April next year, which means we won’t be seeing anything truly exciting on these cards for at least another six months.
As a reminder, the free card offers a voucher for 18,000 Avios but forces you to book a one-night hotel stay at the same time. The paid card offers a 30,000 Avios voucher which must be redeemed with a paid 2-night hotel stay.
To be fair, if you have no pile of hotel points waiting to be redeemed and weren’t planning to stay with friends or family for free, this deal could work out OK. 30,000 Avios, used on Reward Flight Savers inside Europe, should get you around £300 of value which easily offsets the £50 card fee. Both offers require you to spend £500 per month for the first three months.
Secondly, I have found a new link for the 40,000 Priority Club points sign-up offer on the Priority Club Black Visa. This one doesn’t expire until 13th November, which is two weeks later than the old link. £99 fee applies but you also now get Priority Club Platinum status as well.
