Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

1,000 Clubcard points (2,400 Avios) plus £10 off a £50 grocery shop – ends TODAY

topcashback, the Quidco-style cashback shopping site, has negotiated a special deal with Tesco which is worth a look.

They are offering 1,000 Tesco Clubcard points (good for 2,400 Avios or 2,500 Virgin miles at the standard rate) plus £10.10 cashback on a £50+ online grocery order.

This will ONLY work if the Clubcard account you use has not previously been used for an online grocery order.  If you have previously had an online grocery order, you will find that the points do not appear – they may appear on your order confirmation but they will not hit your account.  (I learnt this the hard way on a similar promotion last year.)

The deadline for ordering is today, Sunday 14 October, and your order must be delivered by Sunday 21 October.

You must go via topcashback to the Tesco website, otherwise you will not receive your £10.10 cashback and technically you also lose the right to the 1,000 points as well.

I also managed to use it finally.

Earlier I was trying to see if the code works by just using it with my own clubcard account, and got the max usage reached message hence thought it isn’t working.

However I created an account for the wife and used it, and it worked fine. Guess this was a good way to get her own account set up!
