Today (Wednesday) and Thursday, Cathay Pacific is showing off its new 2-metre flat bed business class seat in London.
They have erected a little tent on the roof of One New Change, the new monster shopping centre opposite St Paul’s Cathedral on Cheapside. You can pop along between 11.30am and 5pm both days, try out the seat and grab a free soft drink. I was down there yesterday.
More interestingly, every visitor can enter a competition to win a very impressive trip to Hong Kong. The winner gets:
- 2 business class tickets from Heathrow to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific
- 3 nights in a Grande Deluxe Harbour View room at The Peninsula hotel, including breakfast
- Round-trip airport transfers in a Rolls-Royce
The winner must book before 31st December, to travel before 30th September 2013.
(It is worth noting that Cathay Pacific Gold Card members – of which there are many in the UK because it comes free with the Amex Platinum card – were invited to a champagne and canapes party tonight or tomorrow night.
This follows another champagne party Cathay threw at Canary Wharf with Panerai watches a couple of months ago, and the Christmas party they had at The Ritz last year. It is almost worth getting the card just for the social events, even if you already have BA status!)
