Amex Gold sign-up bonus back to 20,000 points – and no fee for a year

Thanks to reader Andrew, we have our second piece of positive credit card news this week.

Following a long period of bonus cuts, Virgin Atlantic suddenly launched a 20,000 Flying Club miles bonus on its credit card (see here).

American Express has now put the sign-up bonus for the Preferred Rewards Gold charge card back to 20,000 Membership Rewards points, up from 10,000.
