2,000 (perhaps 4,000) Clubcard points with Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

Tesco Direct is currently running an interesting offer on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1 inch screen version) 16gb Wi-Fi tablet, which sells for £298.
The link is here assuming it is still in stock when you read this.
This is an interesting deal if you are in the market for a tablet that is not an ipad.
The headline price is £298. However, you get £50 cashback via Samsung (see the Tesco webpage for details).
The real kicker, though, is the 2,000 bonus Clubcard points on offer. This is worth 4,800 Avios points or 5,000 Virgin Flying Club miles at the standard conversion rate, and you can add an extra 50% to that if you wait for the next conversion bonus to come along.
But here is the thing. When you add the table to your shopping basket, it comes up as 4,000 bonus Clubcard points. Would it post as 4,000? Well, you could always send the tablet back if it didn’t!
4,000 Clubcard points (plus the 298 points from the standard purchase) would be worth 10,315 Avios at the standard conversion rate and 15,000+ if you waited for the next bonus.
If you value Avios points at 1p each, you would be getting £150 of Avios (if you waited for a conversion bonus), £50 cashback via Samsung and £12 back from Quidco. That means you are effectively paying £86 for the tablet.
Note that Amazon sells the same tablet for £273, £25 less than Tesco, and still offers the £50 cashback. This offer only really works well if you get the 4,000 points.
The smaller 7 inch version of this tablet is also available from Tesco with 1,000 bonus points.
