Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

New Tesco grocery promo – 300 points (720 Avios) for £9 chocolate spend

Thanks to reader Phil, who e-mailed me with details of this new Tesco Clubcard promotion for online grocery shoppers. Take a look here

You earn 300 points (which converts to 720 Avios or 750 Flying Club miles) when you buy 3 products from a list of chocolate and alchol products.  The real bargain is with the Seashells and the Chocolate Orange, both of which are £3 each, so a total of just £9 spend to trigger the bonus.

Of course, if you drink at home, you may want to order the more expensive alcohol products instead!

No closing date is shown, unfortunately.

Very interesting. I wonder if it’s also available in-store.

  • PanGalactic says:

Tried it in store today, points did not come up on receipt, asked for a refund and was told to wait until the points show online and they should be there, otherwise I can return them within 7 days.

Interestingly, they don’t show on a dummy online order either, weird!

  • PanGalactic says:

No, the offer wan’t on the shelves, plus I bought 3 x the same chocolates, according to the Tesco webpage they need to be different items.

Will hold off refunding until the bonus points post just in case, but I expect they wont.

  • tony says:

I have seen this on the website before.
It seems to be an orphaned page, you can’t find it from the tesco homepage, so I assumed it may actually have expired some time ago.

    • tony says:

oh, and the heading also says ‘festive’ drinks, which may be another hint!

      • ups says:

Interesting point. I was also trying to find this page from the Special Offers link, but couldn’t locate it.

The prices drop offers do have current dates, but they may have been pulled from the products automatically…

  • Mummy55 says:

I saw this a couple of days ago and it did say you must buy three different items. I haven’t tried to buy it yet but may do this week-end.

  • hooch says:

I’ve done this but the points have yet to appear … wondering how and with whom I should broach this …
